Lives and works in Stockholm

Maria Friberg, was born in 1966 in Malmö (Sweden). She is one of the major artist of the Nordic contemporary art movement of the 1990's. She is known to the international critics under the name "Nordic Miracle".

She studied at the Royal University college of Fine Arts in Stockholm and she is one of the sweden's most acclaimed artists of her generation. The list of her international individuals exhibition is impressive : Santa Barbara Contemporary Arts Forum in California, Conner Contemporary Art at Washington DC and PI Artworks at London.

We can see her work among other on the Moderna Museet's collections of the Kisma Museum at Helsinki, in the Museum of Fine Arts of Boston, in the Denver Museum, at the Colorado and Hasselblad Foundation. She is also solicited for an impressive order of public order.

Zij studeerde aan de Koninklijke Hogeschool voor Schone Kunsten in Stockholm en is een van de meest geprezen Zweedse kunstenaars van haar generatie. De lijst van haar internationale tentoonstellingen is indrukwekkend: Santa Barbara Contemporary Arts Forum in Californië, Conner Contemporary Art in Washington DC en PI Artworks in Londen.
Haar werk is onder meer te zien in de collecties van het Moderna Museet, het Kisma Museum in Helsinki, het Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, het Denver Museum, de Colorado en de Hasselblad Foundation. Ze wordt ook gevraagd voor een indrukwekkende openbare orde.
