Prélude d'une Feuillaison

-

For her third solo exhibition at LMNO, Aïda Kazarian presents Prélude d?une feuillaison, a new project that traces her entire artistic career through her collection of painted books, brought together in an exceptional anthology printed in 300 copies. Conceived as a book-work, this collection will be offered for sale to help finance a library created by Belgian architect Kasimir Ketele, a place of sharing and memory that will house all of her works.

With Prélude d'une feuillaison, Aïda Kazarian turns the act of painting and binding into a unique form of visual expression. Each book becomes a fragment of a larger narrative, a leaf that joins the forest of a work marked by the intimacy of the gesture, the materiality of the paper and the circulation of images.

This exhibition is not limited to the space of the book: it extends through new creations, video installations where the pages move to the rhythm of the wind, and audio cassettes retracing the artist's voice and life. These multiple media open up sensitive avenues where the book can be leafed through, listened to and brought to life, revealing its hidden temporalities.

By acquiring these works, visitors transcend the role of mere collectors to become full-fledged participants in the artistic process. Feuillaison is thus conceived as a collective adventure in which each person's engagement extends the artist's gesture, and in which the relationship between LMNO, the artist and the public is transformed into a shared experience.

Prélude d'une feuillaison questions memory and transmission, the possibility of giving pages a second life through the gaze, breath or sound. Through this exhibition, Aïda Kazarian invites us to inhabit the book as a living space, both intimate and collective, where art, narrative and the community of the future meet.
